This website showcases work form photographer Teresa Ollila, whose son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Her photographs capture a realistic, everday image of what diabetics must go through, whether newborn or elderly. Not only does she highlight the frustrating aspects of having the condition but that fact that having diabetes creates stronger relationships and can prevent you from doing nothing. She quotes on her website that her photography is
"an on-going effort to help shed light on this incurable illness to an extent that few outside the diabetic community are aware of. "
How inspirational, and so very true!

The image of the baby with the pump scares me. I can’t imagine how much her parents must worry. I’m glad I was old enough to tell an adult if I felt hypo when I was diagnosed.
